Flair-it fittings are an excellent solution for do-it yourself home plumping repair. They require no special tools. Installation is easy; slide the nut along the pex pipe, rock the fitting in the pipe, slide the nut back along the pipe and thread the fitting, forming a tight seal. If fitting leaks, tighten nut with a few more turns. You may need to use the Flair-it wrench if you need need additional leverage.
